Regulation Updates for July:
1. Singapore IMDA will deregister and stop all sales of already approved 3G-only mobile phones and non-VoLTE capable smartphones on February 1, 2024. All 3G networks and services will cease on July 31, 2024.
2. Malaysia MCMC cancelled Class Assignment for fixed-satellite service earth stations and ultra-wideband communication devices operating in 3400-3700MHz. The usage of above equipment and devices in the aforesaid frequency band shall not be allowed, effective from June 1st, 2025.
3. Indonesia SDPPI issued Regulation No.3 of Year 2024, main points are as relative with family approval and label requirement, which will be effective May 23rd, 2024.
4. Colombia CRC issued Regulation 155 of 2024 regarding the addition of the 3500MHz band of WWAN 5G for Mobile Terminal Equipment (ETM). The frequency is 3300-4200MHz(n77) and 3300-3800 MHz(n78).
5. On May 30th, 2024, the Korea National Radio Research Agency (RRA) allowed applications for WiFi 7 (320MHz bandwidth).
6. Sri Lanka TRC now allows WiFi 6E (5925-6425 GHz). The maximum allowed RF output power limit is 30 dBm (1W).
7. Egypt NTRA issued update type approval procedure requirements for all three schemes.
